Your union bargaining team has called in the Fair Work Commission (FWC) to the next bargaining meeting with G4S. This will allow your bargaining delegates to try and finalise negotiations and lock in a fair deal that protects and fairly rewards all G4S guards.
Bargaining delegates have been fighting hard to ensure G4S properly respond to our proposals for 3% wage increases and to commit to protect current guards from the threat of new minimum wage employees.
In the last bargaining meeting on 7 November 2014, G4S caved in and put a new wage proposal of 2.7% on the table.
Now, your bargaining team have decided it is time to get the FWC to hold conciliation with G4S to try and address the outstanding issues, and lock in a fair deal as soon as possible.
The FWC conciliation should occur within the next week and information will be released after the meeting about the outcomes.
To strengthen our position with G4S we need to continue to grow our union. So if you know there are guards at your site who are not members, now is the time they need to join.
